DRAGADOS, part of the ACS Group, has secured one of three places on Transport for London’s (TfL) Infrastructure Improvement Framework following a competitive procurement process.

The framework positions DRAGADOS to support the delivery of major upgrades across London’s transport network and reflects the company’s technical capability, collaborative delivery approach and experience working in complex operational environments.

The Infrastructure Improvement Framework is a key delivery vehicle for TfL and will support a wide range of works across the network, including station capacity enhancements, step-free accessibility improvements and major infrastructure upgrades. Projects expected to be delivered through the framework include:

.

Elephant & Castle Station Phase 2 – Fit Out

.

South Kensington Capacity & SFA

.

Trams Renewal Programme (including the Power Upgrade Project (PUP)

The framework promotes early contractor involvement, collaborative working practices and integrated design and construction solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

The agreement has an initial duration of two years, with the option to extend for a further two years.

Contract Award for Elephant & Castle Station Phase 2

As part of the framework, DRAGADOS has also been awarded the fit-out works for Elephant & Castle Underground Station Phase 2, having achieved the highest technical score among bidders for the scheme.

The project includes the design and full fit-out of the new station box and newly constructed tunnels, the integration of existing systems from the Northern and Bakerloo line ticket halls, and the decommissioning of the existing Northern line ticket hall. Stage 1 of the project is currently in the design phase.

The Elephant & Castle Station Capacity Upgrade forms a key part of the wider regeneration of the area. The upgrade will increase station capacity by approximately 30%, deliver a new integrated ticket hall, improve emergency evacuation conditions from the Northern line, introduce step-free access and optimise passenger journey times.

DRAGADOS brings extensive experience delivering complex transport infrastructure in highly constrained, live urban environments. Its UK track record includes the £700 million Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU), delivered in full alliance with London Underground, which increased station capacity by approximately 40%, significantly reduced congestion and cut journey times between the Northern line and the DLR by up to nine minutes.

The company has also delivered major national and international infrastructure programmes, including Crossrail C305 in London, the Queensferry Crossing in Scotland and the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) in Montreal, Canada.

DRAGADOS continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in the delivery of complex transport infrastructure across the United Kingdom, helping deliver projects that improve connectivity, accessibility and passenger experience while supporting the long-term regeneration of local communities.
