ACS Group has concluded its participation in the inaugural World Infrastructure Forum (WIF), held in Madrid, which brought together more than 400 leaders from 44 countries over two days to address some of the key challenges and opportunities that will shape the future of infrastructure.
The Group’s participation began last Wednesday with remarks by our CEO, Juan Santamaría, during the forum’s first panel, as part of a day devoted to examining the infrastructure that will need to be developed over the next decade and the mechanisms required to mobilize investment and collaboration among the sector’s various stakeholders. Vicente Maraña, CEO of ACS Digital & Energy, also participated on the first day.
On the second day, Thursday, ACS Group continued contributing to the forum’s discussions with Nuria Haltiwanger, Chief Investment Officer of Infrastructure at ACS, taking part in a session on the sector’s outlook; Alicia López, Chief Innovation Officer at FlatironDragados, participating in a discussion on artificial intelligence and the future of engineering, construction, and operations; and Íñigo Losada, CEO of ACS University, joining a roundtable focused on infrastructure resilience and disruption.
Throughout this week, the World Infrastructure Forum addressed issues such as investment, digitalization, resilience, and the growing demands placed on critical infrastructure. ACS Group is also a member of the forum’s International Advisory Committee, further strengthening its participation in dialogue and collaboration among the sector’s various stakeholders as infrastructure needs become increasingly complex and global.
All participants also observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the tragic train accident in Toledo.
