This pilot project extends approximately 0.5 miles around the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) and Gateway Center area of College Park, Georgia. This innovative transit solution will provide residents and tourists with a smooth connection between the ATL SkyTrain and the GICC via autonomous, on-demand, personal electric vehicles. The success of this pilot project will form the proof needed to provide the needed service and generate the essential momentum for deploying the envisioned 20+ mile Automated Transit Network (ATN) system throughout the southern portion of the Atlanta metropolitan region. Juan Santamaria, CEO of ACS Group / Nuria Haltiwanger, CEO of ACS Infra / IRIDIUM said: " We are extremely honored to have been selected by AACIDs for this innovative and future-thinking project in Atlanta, one of the fastest growing regions in the US. We are also excited for this opportunity to continue expanding our partnership with Glydways, the leader in this emerging PRT market. The award of this key project is part of the ACS Group’s continued pursuit of new generation infrastructure and sustainable mobility. The ATN pilot project will be the first of its kind in North America, furthering the ACS Group as a pioneer in the transportation and sustainable mobility industry." This is yet another step that confirms ACS’ global leading role in the transformation of mobility, and in the construction of a more connected and sustainable future.
