ACS Group and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, have successfully completed their joint venture to develop a global data center platform, marking a significant milestone in the companies’ shared commitment to digital infrastructure. This closing, which follows all conditions precedent being met in December 2025, positions ACS and GIP to accelerate delivery of next-generation facilities designed for those seeking rapid, scalable, and sustainable solutions. The platform, which was announced in November 2025, launches with a 1.7 GW portfolio of projects under development across Europe, the United States, and Australia. In addition to the existing portfolio of assets contributed by ACS to the platform, ACS continues to review a pipeline of potential projects globally, currently exceeding 11 GW across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Building on ACS’s proven engineering and construction capabilities and ACS’s and GIP’s global investment expertise, the platform will provide: Comprehensive lifecycle services: From site acquisition and permitting through design, build, and operations. Integrated energy strategies: Including grid connection, renewable sourcing and advanced cooling technologies. Modular, adaptable design: Enabling speed to market and flexibility for evolving client needs. Sustainability at the core: Prioritizing efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Commercialization focus: Initial projects in discussions with hyperscalers and other global technology leaders. ACS Group Chief Executive Officer Juan Santamaría said: “Our platform team brings a proven track record and the ability to operate with deep expertise in delivering complex infrastructure. Our combined strengths with GIP will enable us to deliver the infrastructure that powers AI and cloud growth globally, while embedding technology and innovation at every stage.”
